Early Decision

Are there any benefits in terms of acceptance rates when applying ED I vs ED II to either Emory or GWU?

IF your prospective school offers a common Data Set, it will offer you a wealth of information (sat ranges, gpa’s, most important criteria, waitlist, etc. While I did not see Eory’s CDS for 2004-2005 the information from their 2003-2004 is as follows:

for fall of 2003 735 applied ED
452 accepted
approx 61.5% admit rate

RD: 10752 applied
4357 admitted
40.52% admit rate

Common Data set for GWU 2003-2004 (for fall 03 admissions)

<a href=“Office of Institutional Research & Planning | The George Washington University”>Office of Institutional Research & Planning | The George Washington University;

1749 applied ED
875 admitted
50.02 admit rate

RD:
18442 applied

7503 admitted

hope this helps

hopeful1 - just want to say (and maybe you know this), but make sure you can afford to attend the university w/o scholarship support.
