Hearing lots of accepted here (congrats to you all) & the frustration of deferred… The rejected certainly must be feeling down, not seeming too visible here, but you must be lurking… Do tell, if you can bring yourself to it, where you were rejected from, what your general stats are, why you think you were rejected, what you would have done differently, and what your plans are now. As much or as little info as you’d like to offer. You KNOW there is still much hope!

extremely ****ed cause spoiled blond classmate got deferred

i think i didn’t get in because i was too typical, and my essay had a grammar mistake and a flow mistake right next to each other. My ECs were very common: Math team, piano, violin, high scores in science stuff, tennis, leadership.

If i could change anything, I would go back and write my essay on my 10 years growing up in the South (Louisiana and mississippi) and the change moving to Washington state and how it affected me. i wrote on a piano competition… a little too standard. oh, my school ends in “anford” which rhymes with stanford
BLAH REJECTED

what do you think of my essay? is one on piano just too cliche? AARGGH shouldn’t have recycled for other schools!!! oops?
