currently in top ten (6/~500) and will probably fall… but likely to remain in the top 10%
mostly a’s (average is all a’s) from a pretty competitive high school
most of our top 10% applies to/attends UT (many in honors)
gpa: currently 4.0 uw / 4.3 w</p>
<p>classes:
- 8th grade: [hs classes only] honors algebra i, health (no honors/pre-ap offered) ~ all a’s
- freshman: honors biology, honors world geography, honors english i, honors geometry, pre-ap algebra ii, spanish ii [at the time pre-ap wasn’t offered, is now], athletics i [freshman tennis – replaced required pe credit] ~ all a’s
- sophomore: pre-ap chemistry, pre-ap pre-calculus, pre-ap english ii, pre-ap world history, ap computer science i [got 5 on the exam], pre-ap spanish iii, athletics ii [jv ii tennis – replaced required pe credit] ~ a average in all classes
- junior: ap english iii, ap us history, ap computer science ii, ap calculus ab [would have taken bc, but there was a conflict with comp sci, might take bc exam], ap chemistry, ap spanish iv, pre-ap physics ~ for the most part, so far, so good

- projected summer 2009 class: speech [required, maybe dual credit]
- projected senior year classes: ap us government/ap economics [each is one semester long], ap english iv, ap statistics, ap biology, ap physics, ap something [many to choose from, haven’t decided – may take ap calc bc if i don’t take the bc exam this year], some arts credit [probably choir, which i have a shot at earning a varsity letter, according to the choir director – required]</p>

- played piano since third grade [currently not taking formal lessons – self-taught]
- tennis team, two years [freshman team, jv ii team – no longer participant]</p>

- girl scouts: bronze award, silver award, bronze leadership, silver leadership, gold leadership, registered program aide, several other awards
- made the nmsf cutoff for tx as soph [obviously didn’t count], let’s hope for it this year</p>

- possible school’s nominee for physics, chemistry, and computer science olympiad trials this year, according to respective science teachers
- national honor society nominee [nhs is for juniors/seniors only, possible officer]
- likely academic letter and science club letter, possible choir letter if i join choir as a senior
- currently working on girl scout gold award
- currently working on presidential volunteer service award
- applying for multiple summer programs, including rsi and first bytes… any others?
- if ap scores are good, possible ap awards this year
- going to try for isef, ists, siemen’s, etc </p>
