Earth and Envrionmental Science

Can someone who is either signed up for this major or considering it tell me a little bit about it? IT sounds very interesting and I was wondering what kind of salaries you can make with this degree.

I am very interested in this major because it sounds like you will be working outside somewhat often and can help improve the environment. What kind of careers are common for people with this degree?

Teaching comes to my mind. Environmental engineers might have higher paying options tbh. Although, it really depends on how much you want to squeeze out of your degree. My HS APES teacher makes 90k a year.

It’s hard to say. I’ve never actually met a person who was only ESS. Everyone i’ve met was chem or physics doubled with ESS. I’m not sure how far you’d get with just an ESS degree.

and ESS =/= environmental engr. environ engr is technically under the civil engr degree/field.

90K a year!? That sounds a bit high for a high school teacher.
