Ea's Done!!! Now Lets Gather And Celeb!rate For The Time Being

la montagne!!! remember me :P

Now the fun begins…

Whoahh -
don’t worry about the typo.

Finally submitted!

Wow, feels kind of weird. But, now the agonizing wait begins :)

I submitted mine two nights ago, and ever since then, I was even more nervous than when I was proof-reading my essays and checking the details. The next two months are going to be fun… (Luckily, I have NaNoWriMo to distract myself with, so hopefully I won’t die of the torturous waiting by the time Judgement Day comes around… But there’s always a chance of me being slaughtered by NaNoWriMo instead, so we’ll see about that.)
I wrote about the “Borges y yo” prompt, and had fun with it. My favorite English teacher liked it, so does my friends who read it, so I’m feeling pretty confident about it. I really don’t know if my EC is good enough though…

Eirwen – when I visited, Libby indicated that ECs weren’t of the utmost importance. She told me she just wanted to see that I “did something outside of school” consistently and enjoyed it.

I did option five, for my last sentence I had:

It is the sharing of the wondrous and the mundane that ensures us we are not alone on this winding path.

For the rest of the essay you will have to wait :p.

I submitted my essay like a week ago. I chose Borges y yo and talked about my cultural identity vs. my “Americanized” self. I liked it, and my AP Lit teacher seemed to like it. Yeah waiting till mid-Decmber sucks…
All I have to pass the time is school and EC’s…

Am I the only one that did option #2?! I actually tried doing #3 but I couldn’t exactly flesh out all the ideas I wanted to portray. Soo, I did option #2 after sitting around and staring at a blank document in wordpad.

hyakku… very nice and catchy last line…

my last line is kinda catchy and philosophical… as u can read on the first comment…

I, however, start off my essay by: “My innocence was shattered and my naivete was cruelly-- yet auspiciously-- stepped on.” :D

I frankly do not feel nervous now… i’m just ready to move and do what i gotta do ;-)

i just hope for the best

Who wants to read my short story (option number four)!? Because I would love to read yours. I hope they are funny. If they’re not, don’t bother. Just kidding, I’ll read them anyway. My last sentence is…“BUT WHICH DOOR WAS IT?” and I get a big kick out of it. It’s not a mystery though, it’s a satirical comedy.

My last line is

“‘Halloween? That means it’s October 31st! Oh no mister, you get that early application done tonight!’”

Yes- I did read the instructions, haha it’s not about me applying to uchicago. My essay is a parody of asian stereotypes. how fitting eh?

One quick question, could you guys indent the first paragraph of every essay? I tried to, but I just couldn’t. hopefully It’s not a big issue

The formatting of the text box goes automatically to the first character I believe. So no one got an indent.

yea, i coudlnt indent either

SCOMathmo: That’s a comfort to know. I’m still nervous about everything though… But that’s natural, I guess.

…mine was about ice cream. and it entertained me. :-)

I did option 1 =P My essay wasn’t too long, but I think it was good.

My essay wasn’t too philosophical. I just sounded pretentious when I tried to speak that way… it didn’t sound like me.
My essay is a bit goofy, but I really like it.
It involves Raffi, analytic trigonometry, Harry Potter, semelparity, the Levinthal Paradox, a tow truck, and my old French teacher asking me if I was drunk while writing my “redaction.”
So… yes.

Hmm…that’s odd. Somehow my essays were indented when I clicked on the “preview application” page. (Then again, I copied and pasted from Word to the text box.) Explanation?
