are the chances for a girl applicant better in AEM in CALS, since females only take up about 34 or 37% in that major? The program is really competitive to get into… but would there be somewhat of an easier chance for a female applicant?</p>
<p>Undecided87: You have a good point, I wish I had an answer for you. Perhaps your regional admissions officer could answer that question for you. My guess is “no” because overall, CALS 2004 enrollment already has more women enrolled than men, but not dramatically (1,411 Male/ 1,703 Female). As a comparison, Human Ecology has 310 Male/ 939 Female. Engineering has 1,999 Male/ 702 Female.</p>
