Just curious, as I always like to understand plan B, if people have found it easier to transfer to a school they were admitted to out of High School as opposed to a school they did not apply to in high school? Luckily, my son has many choices, but we are wrestling between more specialized support vs. closer to home, all things being equal. I’m leaning towards farther away and more support for transition, but our home schools are UCs, so maybe not.
I only applied to one school that was a school I was admitted to out of high school. It was also very close to both my former college and my home. Now, I have nothing to compare it to, but it was relatively easy. I just had to explain why I was unable to attend and reaffirm how much I still loved the college I transferred to.
