<p>Does anyone know if applying to Penn as East Asian Studies major would be be easier w/ my stats:
Grade: 90/100- top quintile,
Sat: 2230/2400
Aps: 5 on Physics B, English Lang, and US Histo
Ethnicity: Chinese; and I am in high level chinese class
Extra: Asian Student Association VP
Diversity Task Force officer
Big Bro/Big Sis mentoring program
around 350 hr community service at nearby school, museum of natural history, and at a community member’s farm
National Merit semi-finalist
Helping hands- raised $2000 for mentoring program
Internship at Societe Generale- French Investment bank
Internship at Capital Iq- financial research company
Member of a non-profit fellowship which helps economically disadvantaged students w/ high school/college appication</p>

<p>I go to a top Private Boarding School in Massachusetts.</p>

<p>i don’t think they care what your major is going to be so much, but rather what school you are applying to. Obviously it helps if they know you are passionate about something</p>
