East Coast colleges near the ocean

I’ve asked a similar question before, but I’ve narrowed down the location to avoid getting colleges located in places that are too warm.

So what I’m looking for are colleges in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware, DC, or even Virginia that are near (or on!) the ocean. Preferred size would be 5000-12000, although that is somewhat flexible.

Thanks!

Wahh, no one?

College of the Atlantic

Facilities

I would be in love with COA if it had more students. However, it only has about 380 - that’s the size of my graduating class!

Some schools that are right on the ocean: University of New England, Salve Regina, Endicott, Eastern Nazarene, Roger Williams, Coast Guard Academy, Connecticut College. But all of these are less than 5,000 students.

Salve Regina in Newport Rhode Island is lovely.

UNCW in North Carolina.

William and Mary in Williamsburg Virginia…but its really competitive and a bit hyper-nerdy.

St. Marys College of Maryland…its non sectarian and on the Chesapeake Bay in St. Mary’s Maryland. Gorgeous and actually a very good school.

Duke has a Marine Lab near the ocean in Beaufort, NC. You can spend a summer, semester, or an entire year here. I’m at the Marine Lab right now, and it is top notch.

Endicott College is right on the ocean…it might be smaller than what you’re looking for, though. Around 600 per class. But the location’s pretty ideal…right on the ocean and close proximity to Boston

URI; Monmouth; Washington College
