<p>Hey everyone,</p>
<p>I’m out in Boston working and doing research over the summer and I was just wondering what the average East Coast Person is supposed to be like. I’ve been in California all my life and this is pretty much my first time on the East Coast.</p>
<p>While Boston is a great place to explore and find things to eat, I’m having trouble coping with the people I meet. It seems like everything is always about status, people are really into which ivy league school they go to and also seem quite shallow. Interactions just seem so fake and judgemental, I can’t be my true self, there is much pressure to be a conforming know-it-all.</p>
<p>I can’t stand it any longer. I know not everyone on the east coast is like this, so I’d like to know what kind of values east coast people mostly have. Any thoughts?</p>
