I’m a freshman who was recently assigned to live in east quad. Is it a social dorm? I know it’s newly renovated and has a great location, but i’ve heard that the RC is housed there. Are there also a lot of other freshmen who aren’t in the RC?
I lived in East Quad for 2 years post renovation. Highly social dorm. Made some amazing friends and memories. Some of them were engineers so not all RC. Most non-RC will be MCSP students. With all this being said, get ready for large amounts of social justice-talk.
Dang that social-justice concept. Why can’t we all just not get along and just continue to perpetuate injustice. What is wrong with kids these days :-*
I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with social justice. It just would have been nice to have been able to have dinner once in a while without being reminded how privileged I am for being a man.

MCSP is in west quad now. I’m an engineer in east quad (not RC), and my roommate is LSA (also not RC). I think there are going to be a good amount of non RC freshmen.
