<p>Basically I’m trying to find a dorm that has a social life especially on the weekends, but is not full of constant partiers (mainly people who will party every night of the week… and yes there are plenty at penn state!)</p>

<p>Most people aren’t partying every night of the weekend. I would wait to switch dorms. See if you neighbors are loud and partying all the time first and then, if they are, try to switch (A lot of people are looking to switch during the year via the eswitch board on eliving).</p>
<p>East Halls is 99.9% Freshman and so you will meet lots of people. Some will party every night while some will never party. You will be able to migrate to students like you. </p>
<p>South Halls is great because it is close to town. The sororities are in some of South Halls. If you plan to rush sororities you may wind up living there as a soph or junior. </p>
<p>North Halls are small and as a Freshman you won’t meet as many people.</p>
<p>I’d stay where you are.</p>
