Easter pot luck ideas

Homemade applesauce. Using really good apples, should end up with firm chunks in the sauce. Lightly spiced with cinnamon and lightly sweetened. Wonderful counterpoint to the ham.

This is very traditional in our family – but I am a New Englander.

*DD found a cute way to do deviled eggs by making them look like little chicks. Instead of cutting lengthwise cut the top off the hard boiled eggs. After taking yolks out, deviling and re-filling, put top back on and add olive pieces for eyes and carrot pieces for little beaks.

Very cute!!!

My brunch menu is very similar to Moonchild’s (No ham, we are mostly vegetarians & I am doing a frittata with asparagus, potatoes, and mushrooms)- I would love to have the raspberry trifle recipe. I was also thinking of pistachio pudding.

RE: Applesauce - I love doing applesauce in the crockpot. I use a variety of apples, a 1/4 water, LOTS of cinnamon. The house smells fabulous and it is so easy. I put in big chunks and then smoosh it up a lot or a little depending on my mood.
