Easy Chocolate Dessert?

S2 and I prefer fruit desserts, but I want to make something chocolatey for S1. Any ideas? I’m cooking a lot of food, so can’t be too time consuming!

How fancy - or not - do you want it to be? Is this for Christmas dinner or just because?

How about a dark chocolate frozen mouse? I’m on vacation so I can’t give you my recipe, but it’s mostly melted semi sweet chocolate folded into whipped cream. Google turns up lots of variations. You can make it in muffin cups with a chocolate wafer as the bottom crust. Top with warm chocolate sauce (or a liquor if he’s of age).
Make it tomorrow and they keep through New Year’s if you don’t eat them first.

I have also made this one.

It’s really yummy. Well duh, it’s a recipe from Southern Living magazine, of course it’s yummy!

Brownies, chocolate chocolate chip cookies, Nutella bars, flourless chocolate cake, chocolate truffles?

Triple chocolate brownies (with chocolate chips and chocolate frosting) are super easy, fast too.

This is one of my favorite go-to chocolate desserts, easy to make and I usually have everything I need in the house so no special trips to the grocery store. You can sub in vanilla extract for the vanilla bean and framboise liqueur.

Yum, @doschicos! That sounds like the chocolate molten lava cakes! I stick to getting them when dining out so they aren’t around to nosh on.

This can be made from scratch or a box mix and those refrigerated cookies in the supermarket. In a cupcake pan you have already lined with cupcake liners, place a 1/4" thick slice of an uncooked choc chip cookie. In the middle of the choc chip cookie place and upside down small recees peanut butter cup. On top of that poor enough brownie mix to completely cover pbc. Cook at 350 about 10 - 12 minutes. test with toothpick til it comes out clean.

I made a French Silk Pie yesterday. Downside: it will take up refrigerator space until consumed. Upside: can be made ahead of time.

I made this yesterday for a family dinner dessert last night. Easy peasy and everyone loves it!

FOR ALL THE CHOCOLATE LOVERS

All these sound so good! May not be the prettiest -but very tastyhttp://tastykitchen.com/recipes/desserts/easy-chocolate-pie/

Waffled brownies (brownies batter baked in a waffle iron) with a scoop of ice cream. (I like pralines & cream on mine.)

These all look great- love new ideas. @alwaysamom I’m definitely trying that pie! Thank you. Happy holidays everyone!

@Singersmom07 That sounds yummy! I will definitely try it this weekend.

My favorite EASY chocolate cheese pie with cherries -

8 oz. + 3 oz. softened cream cheese
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup chilled whipping cream
8" crumb crust
1 can cherry pie filling

Heat oven to 350. In large mixer bowl, combine cream cheese and sugar; beat well. Blend in cocoa, scraping sides of bowl and beaters often. Add eggs and vanilla; blend well. Blend in whipping cream. Pour into crust. Bake 35-40 minutes (center will be soft but will set upon cooling). Cool to room temperature. Cover and chill several hours or overnight. Garnish with pie filling. Store in refrigerator.

How about a chocolate fondue? You can have an assortment of fruits and pound cake to dip into the chocolate.

@Singersmom07, chocolate cobbler sounds perfect! I may do a few of these over the next week. Thanks everyone!
