Hey, does anyone have some easy classes up their sleeves to help me decide for next fall? I think I’m going to take a bit of a break since I took 18 and 20 credits the first two semesters…

intro to cognitive science has no homework and very little writing. There is a fair amount of memorization though if you want a good grade.

Also the answers to almost all of the exam questions are directly from the lecture slides which are posted online.

It has a somewhat high median grade, but there are classes with higher though, but workload wise its fairly easy.

^whats the code?

Don’t know if this is offered in the Fall, but Intro to China with McNeal is relatively easy. He’s a really good professor who’s passionate about the subject, and he doesn’t make it difficult for you to do well. There are homework opportunities every week but you only choose 6 total (just short, simple responses to primary source readings), there are two very easy in-class quizzes, and the midterm and final are take-home essays (aka no prelims to study for!) Also, if you’re in CAS, it fulfills the CA requirement as well as both geographical and historical breadth. Lectures and discussion are mandatory, though (you need to go to lecture because his powerpoints aren’t very detailed so you need to take notes, and your participation is graded in discussion).

EDIT - Actually, I just saw that you want a class without a lot of writing lol, and Intro to China’s exams are basically essays…so maybe it’s not for you, but others might like it x]
