Having moved far from toll-road territory, I want to know how to get the Velcro stuff off the inside of the windshield without damaging the glass. Is there a reasonably easy way to do this, or should I just accept that I’ll be living with the Velcro long after the Easy Pass has been transferred to Happykid’s car?

And come to think of it, how am I going to get it to stick to her car’s window without that half of the Velcro stuff?

We recently had this situation. DH was able to remove the velcro manually and use a razor blade to remove the adhesive. He didn’t need to remove any remainder, but would have used goo-be-gone. It helps to do this on a hot day.

He ordered new strips from the state, but it took a couple weeks for them to come.

How about one of those little plastic “scrapers”??? I bought a few of them years ago at Bed,Bath,Beyond and have used them for various things without any damage. It’s like a 2 by 2 inch squarish thingy - kind of a lightly flexible plastic.

The velcro is still stuck on the old car and H didn’t bother with velcro on the new car.
He just keeps the EZpass in the cubby below the radio, and sticks it on top of the dash when going through a toll. (His car has a sort of space under the clock that makes this convenient)

I no longer use the velcro strips because they were difficult to remove. I found this suction cup holder at my local car wash. They also have it at AAA. Looks like you have to make sure it fits your transponder.

Our passes come with adhesive that sticks to the windshield- non transferable.
Razor blade is the only thing I could think of.
You might try applying ice to windshield to see if that makes adhesive more brittle and easier to scrape off.
