Easy prompt?

I took the ACT with writing yesterday and after searching through these threads I’ve seen mixed responses on what the prompt was. Some say it was whether or not they should take pollutants out of there or if they should move the factories. I’m almost positive mine was about moving the factories, but now I’m worried that I misinterpreted it.

Title meant to say essay
I’m exhausted and it’s 2 AM haha

It was very confusing. I misinterpreted it and didn’t realize it until it was to late to salvage much of my essay. I’m pretty sure the actual prompt was whether or not businesses/factories near schools should ELIMINATE their pollutants. I can’t even remember if there was a “should have to”. I don’t think there was, which makes the actual prompt pretty pathetic…hopefully this confusion was common and the graders will realize that.

It was about whether or n

I clearly remember the prompt read “Should lawmakers require that businesses and factories located near schools eliminate the pollutants and emissions that they release into the air?” The part about moving or closing/shutting down the businesses and factories was earlier in the paragraph - “… while other lawmakers believe that this would require them to move or close and that could hurt the local economy.”
