I’m an international student just starting my masters and need one upper devision course to reach the minimum of 12 units. I am new to the field of anthropology (I graduated with an engineering degree) so I want to focus on the writing and research I’ll be doing as a grad student with my professor. I need something not too demanding/ low workload. Thank you!
“Easy” depends on what you find easy.
Why not pick an upper division anthropology course that is outside your research specialty but may be useful as a supporting subject?
Or perhaps an upper division statistics course, if stronger knowledge of statistics will be useful in your research specialty.
Try looking into classes in areas such as sociology, classics, etc. and that may somewhat interest you. Also do some research in the internet on “rate my professor” and word of mouth (at least that was the case before the internet).
I personally found geography classes to be interesting - and pleasantly surprised by all the statics and fluid equations I learned in engineering used in geography. Geog 140B w/ Kurt Cuffey if you’re up for it.
