Can someone please explain what a eating club is ?
Why in the world do they exist ?
I’m so confused right now.
Don’t copy a long and confusing text from wikipedia ( please )

There are a number of very large houses along Prospect street that house the eating clubs. Some have been there since the late 1800’s. They started as a place for students to eat who went to Princeton, and grew into more social clubs as they are today. However, part of belonging to an eating club includes meals, which can still be exchanged with students who are on Princeton dining plans. These clubs also host concerts and other activities (and yes, parties). Some have a bicker system where you need to compete for a spot in the club, however most are offered on a “sign in” basis.

@Cantiger Thanks :)
