Ebates.com Users - cash back???

I’ve recently started using Ebates (WHY did I not do this sooner??!!!)

I have my account set up so that I will get a rebate CHECK. It shows that a payment is/was due November 15, but I have nothing yet…is this typical for it to arrive late? Or is there something I need to do to get the check???

I’ve been Ebate-ing like CRAZY Christmas shopping !!!

I have been wondering if this is a good website. I take it the answer is yes!

Well, it will be good if I get my cash back! I know others here on CC use it, so hoping they will explain how soon a check might come!

The “ebates” today were often doubled. I have all my kids trained to use it too - it adds up!

abasket, I’ve never had an issue with receiving my Ebates check like clockwork. Does your account show that the check was mailed on a certain date? Nine times out of 10, though, I use Mr. Rebates because the cash back percentage is higher. kelsmom, both sites are a must in my book.

It doesn’t show any checks mailed, but does show my preferred cash back in check form. I sent a customer service inquiry…

I’ve never had issue getting Ebates check either…but! some merchants aren’t as efficient as others, so takes Ebates longer to get $ in my hands (hotel and cars seem to be worst offenders). I think the checks are issued every other month??
BTW, I did order my Xmas photo cards today …and the Ebates notice came within the hour…

I always use ebates and the check always comes but yes, if I remember right it is quarterly. does it show as cash pending?

Shows cash as pending, but pending for Nov. 15, which has clearly passed!

My daughter has a paypal account where she where her ebates rebates are sent. I will let her know about Mr. Rebates

Funny you should mention it! I, my DH, and my DD’s all have Ebates accounts and have never had an issue with getting our Big Fat Checks until this cycle. You are right that the mail date was supposed to be Nov. 15th for anything in the quarter ending 9/30. Mine and DH’s accounts show no check mailed. Younger DD used her account to buy tires for her car from Discount Tire and received her first BFC very quickly (but IIRC the first check does come quickly). So we are also wondering where ours are.

I thought the Nov. 15 check was for all purchases up until Nov. 15. I’ll have to check when I started using the site - can’t remember if it was Sept. or Oct.

Weird thing was, that when I decided to USE the site and tried to start a new registration, turns out I DID previously sign up – in 2007! - yet never used it. FOUR YEARS of online shopping I didn’t take advantage of!!! Argh!!!

Please explain this to me.
I have seen the ads and wonder what the catch is…

Meaning WHY would a company offer a rebate to shop If I’d already shop there through their site. Isn’t Ebates a clearinghouse/tracking?

Heard back from Ebates…since I didn’t have at least $5.01 in rebates by September 30 (I couldn’t actually remember when I started back up using the site - it was somewhere around end of Sept./ early Oct.) the $$$ will just go onto the next check which comes in February.

I didn’t realize (until someone mentioned it above) that Sept. 30 was the cut off - I assumed the cut off was about the same date as the “big fat check” date, Nov. 15.

No problem, between Ebates and the Costco American Express rebate that comes in Feb (I think) that will be a happy money month!!!

fogfog, I can only assume that merchants are willing to part with a share of the proceeds of each sale in order to stimulate more online purchases at their site by offering cash back. I’ve been using Ebates and Mr. Rebates for several years and love getting back hundreds each year.
