eBay second chance offer

^^. I got a full refund yesterday. Once the refund is recorded, the case is closed and no one owes anything to the other party.

But I wanted the item, not the refund. The seller told me, because of the pending case, ebay is holding the fund for 21 days had him sent me the item instead of the refund.

If I want the item, he asks me to send $$ directly to his paypal account. I know I am not going to do that.

If I knew for sure that the seller does not have an actual item to sell, I would leave a feedback accordingly. But I don’t know if the wrong tracking number was just a honest mistake or not. When you deal with someone like me with about 150 +tive current feedbacks, I would be willing to move forward. This seller does not have any current +tive feedback within the past 12 months.

Old saying Dad II…if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Whatever this treasured item is…start looking for it elsewhere. It would probably be worth it to may a little more and be assured you will get your item. I would NOT deal with this seller again.

As soon as he asked for direct payment to the PayPal account it would be a no-go for me.

I think I predicted this in #2.

We’ve found camera equipment at pawn shops, then you can see what you are getting if you can’t afford to go full retail.

Does the refund show as pending in your paypal account? I have both bought and sold on E-Bay (500+ all positive feedbacks, mostly as a buyer). When I am the seller, Paypal reflects when payment was received but does not release the funds until either the buyer leaves positive feedback or a few weeks have passed. This seller strikes me as a little fishy, I too would swim away and find your item elsewhere.
