Ebola hysteria

Something that I read a few days ago suggested that when Amber Vinson found out that one of her colleagues was infected she became very worried, and told her family members not to touch her. That would fit with her requesting to cut her trip short.

The voluminous lecture notes are electronic these days, but I believe they do still sell the textbooks.

I suspect Amazon or EBay could have the toys. I do find them amusing, but don’t think I’m rushing out for one.

Beanie Baby redux? ;)

^^ Amazon listing for Giant Microbes’ Ebola plush: “Currently unavailable. We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock.”

Rats. Apparently there are other geeky science families out there who do their Christmas shopping early.

Maybe I should hold on to my D’s MDR TB microbes…

Or they may have pulled it due to offending some, being in poor taste.

A Steeler was just puking on the field. Should the whole team be quarantined?

^yes, and everyone is the stadium - cause you know - it may go airborne.

Everyone who parked outside.

Timmons is back on the field! I hope they bleached his facemask. One hands to the face penalty on Houston and the whole state of Texas is doomed. :-S

"Dozens of Dallas residents who had contact with the only U.S.-diagnosed Ebola fatality were headed back into their communities Monday after their 21-day monitoring period concluded without any signs of the virus.

As of late afternoon, 51 people had been cleared and 116 were still being monitored."

Is it safe to venture outside yet? I’ve been hiding at home. :))

“Is it safe to venture outside yet? I’ve been hiding at home.”

I’ve been trying a different tactic. Traveling constantly, hitting every public bathroom, airline and transportation system possible in a 1,000 mile radius from my home. Not sick yet, maybe exposure to massive amounts of germs has given me immunity.

[Getting Mr B anthrax bioboxers for Christmas. Ssshhhh… don’t tell him. ]

Not available either! I think that’s what “in remission” means

You can still get E. coli or dust mites, though.

The scarves are beautiful!

Kinda makes you say, Why didn’t we think of that?

Dang. These guys found a perfect niche business opportunity!

I have their antibody scarf. It is pretty nice.
