You’re definitely in the running: At small schools like Grinnell and Bowdoin, your fit with the culture and what you have to offer the school community are paramount. Make sure your essays clearly express what you have to offer and why you want to attend. (S is at Grinnell and loves it! Liked Bowdoin too, but found it more preppy than he is.)

Thanks for the responses, I put down a lot about why I wanted to go to said college and what I want to get out of it in my essays. My Why Bowdoin essay is one of the best pieces of writing i’ve ever done.

I play Trombone and Piano, for 5 years, 3-4 ensembles
I varsity alpine ski race, that’s 3-4 days after school a week, which goes until 9pm
I am also an eagle scout and member of OA
I volunteer roughly 100+ hours at scout camps and about the same number at nurseing homes during the summer
When I’m not doing that, I’m on tech crew of all theatrical productions at my school (All of Fall and Spring). That is until 6pm everyday of the week. and Saturdays.
I also do all tech for sports game at my school
I also work in addition to volunteering at scout camps.
I staff NYLT, a Boy Scout Leadership Training course (National Youth Leader Training)

Sorry, for listing all mine, but with all of this overlapping, I needed to vent somewhere. With almost all advanced or AP courses, I HAVE NO LIFE!
