EC question

<p>One of my EC’s name is really long, and doesn’t fit on the line that Stanford provides. I don’t know how to abbreviate it either. :confused: What should I do?</p>

<p>It is the Taiwanese-American Association of (City name). Unfortunately, it doesn’t fit. :(</p>

<p>Also, are my EC’s decent for Stanford?</p>

<p>1) Orchestra Mentoring
President 12 hrs/42 weeks
2) Cross Country
Captain 15 hrs/25 weeks + 4 var letters
3) Taiwanese-American Association of (City name)
Student-President 9 hrs/52 weeks
4) Mu Alpha Theta
Captain 10 hrs/42 weeks
5) UWM
Student-teacher Volunteer 7 hrs/52 weeks
6) Chamber Orchestra
Concertmaster/Violin Coach 7 hrs/42 weeks
7) Tennis
Teamstate Qualifier 15 hrs/18 weeks + 3 var letters </p>

<p>My passions are music (haha i’m asian go figure :P) and cross country</p>

<p>The only problem I really have with my EC’s is that they are really spread out :(</p>

<p>spread out = good. stanford will not look down on you for having diverse interests, provided you’re good at/involved with the interests. a laundry list of activities, no matter how diverse, will not impress the admissions officers.</p>

<p>try either “Taiwanese-American Assocn. of (City name)”

<p>or just “Taiwanese-American Association” and don’t specify the city.</p>
