Echo Foundation

Hi, so I was looking online and I found this foundation called the Echo Foundation with a Summer Program to Bosnia. They concentrate on humanitarian efforts and looks great, but was wondering if it is really worth it and if there is some prestige on the Echo Foundation. Thank you very much!

This appears limited to North Carolina HS students in a particular geographical area, and has a cost of $10,000. I can’t see how it would have any particularly positive effect in terms of “prestige”. Whether it is worth it, and what you do with it, is a different matter.

I’ve never heard of it. If the cost is really $10K that is ridiculous! There are plenty of community service programs for much less money. Check out mysummeradvisor.com and look for travel programs. It would just be worthwhile if you were particularly interested in Bosnia, since that is not a common area for U.S. study abroad programs.
