EColi in Water at Wellesley

This is really not what you want to have happen in April at your college…

Can’t edit my post for some reason, but want to add that it is in buildings on campus, but not student residence or dining halls. But apparently the town of Wellesley has been having some issues with this lately, too.

That’s interesting. I have a family member taking a Sustainability course at Wellesley that is studying water issues…

Are the water sources for Wellesley’s campus buildings different from student residences/dining halls?

Are they different from the rest of the town which has been having some issues with Ecoli in their water per the quoted statements above?

If you read the whole article, apparently only four buildings on campus are affected. Now faculty and a day care reside in those buildings… but no students! Apparently it is an issue with the pipe that feeds those buildings?? I am not clear on the details, only what is in the article.

The affected buildings are all on the eastern edge of the campus by the road that separates the college from the town of Wellesley. I talked to my D last night and she did not mention a boil water advisory; however, she lives on the west side of campus. it’s a 500 acre campus and to walk from the west side into town takes 20 minutes.
