Econ 1 equivalents in PE department

Does anyone know what classes the Political Economy department accepts instead of the Econ1 class offered in UC Berkeley? I mean, classes from outside (transfer courses). I need to take Econ1 outside of Cal and want to know where I can take it. I was thinking about DVC or the Berkeley City College, or as a last resort, UC Berkeley Extension…UCBEX is more expensive, that’s why it would be my last resort. Anyone that transfered into Berkeley with a basic econ class, could you tell me where you took the class? If it’s online or near Berkeley (say, 30 miles or so). I need to take it as soon as possible. Thanks alot!

According to assist.org, econ 1 and econ 2 at Berkeley City College is the equivalent of econ 1 at UC Berkeley.
