well first, Winter 2005 was this past Winter quarter, not the next one.

Second, looks like discussion 1M has 3 places left. The waitlist positions mean that you can enroll in the section, but you aren’t technically in the class until someone drops that section and opens a spot for you.

i was in the winter quarter bresnock class that was linked above. 350/366 enrolled… it used to be filled to the max. during the midterm, there werent enough seats and ppl sat on the floor to take it!!! (worth 40% of grade!!!). then some dropped but still, the prof got the entire ackerman grand ballroom for us for the final lol. 350 ppl is a lot in a lecture. fortunately there arent too many classes that are larger that than; after your intro econ classes, your class size will probably start shrinking.

wow. quarter system is rough. you got 2 chances to make the grade.

I see that the absolute latest drop deadline is the end of the 4th week.
is the midterm before the 4th week?? … so that the people who bomb the exam can drop, and the people who want to get in can get in?

how long do students hold out before the class has open seats again?
If it’s anything like my college experience, I’m assuming some students just crash the discussion classes eh?

seems like this Mr. Allen is a humorous fellow.

For fall 2005, I see that there are 2 midterms and a final, the first midterm being before the drop deadline. So that’s good for those that bomb the exam.

Bresnock’s exam schedule seems like a load of crap.
