Econ 141 with Math 54 concurrently

Given I have already taken Stat 134, Math 53 and Econ 101A-B, is it possible I take Econ 141 with Math 54 concurrently?

Here is the home page for Powell’s 141 from fall 2009:
[Economics 141, Econometric Analysis](Economics 141, Econometric Analysis)

It has a course outline here:
http://emlab.berkeley.edu/users/powell/e141_f08/141-outline-08.pdf

There is also a page of notes on matrix algebra:
http://emlab.berkeley.edu/users/powell/e141_f08/matrixnotes.pdf

Math 54 typically covers linear algebra in the first half of the course:
[Math 54 | Department of Mathematics at University of California Berkeley](http://math.berkeley.edu/courses/choosing/lowerdivcourses/math54)

You may want to ask the instructor of Economics 141 when linear algebra will start to be used and compare that with the schedule for Math 54.

From what I heard stat 134 is much harder than econ 140. I don’t know how much harder 141 is than 140 but I do know that math 54 is not very time consuming. Linear algebra is very strait forward and easy to learn. The last four weeks of the course is on diff eq and that stuff can get a little hairy (especially Fourier analysis). I think those two classes are fine to take together.
