Econ 201 & 202

I plan on transferring to Northwestern as a Economics major in fall of 2010. I was looking at Part I: General WCAS Requirements and the Social Sciences section in the Distribution Requirements shows that Econ 201 (Macro) and Econ 202(Micro) fulfill the Social Science requirement. However, since I’m majoring in Economics, Econ 201 and Econ 202 are also listed as requirements in Part II: Requirements for the Major in Economics . I’ve already taken both Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, so my question is do both of my Economics courses fulfill the Social Sciences requirement and the Major in Economics requirement at the same time? So therefore I do not need to take anymore Social Science classes to fulfill the the Social Sciences requirement?

I know that’s a mouth full so thanks in advance!
