Econ 3360 is Public Finance. Econ 3680 is Game Theory.

The Game Theory teacher from this semester got a job as a chief Financial Adviser to the Indian Government, so I’m not sure who the new guy is.

However, I’ve heard the class is largely predicated on how well you understand logic and reasoning and less on economics, so if you tend to be good at that, you’ll do fine. My friend from one my harder Philosophy classes said it was a breeze, while my other friend whose a History major struggled with it a bit more. Hopefully that’s an accurate representation and can be somewhat useful.

As for Public Finance, I’ve heard extremely mixed responses, so I can’t really offer viable insight here. Sorry.

Thank you roneald! I am a math major. So I guess I would love Game Theory.
Thank you very much for your help!

No, the guy who went to India taught 3670, which is a less theoretical treatment of Game Theory. 3680 is taught by Blume. He’s… not very excited about teaching. He’s my advisor, and he once told me that he sometimes gets the urge to tell the dean to just give him a 100k pay cut and leave him to his research.

The subject itself is very interesting, though.
