what can i do with an econ degree from chicago? Does gpa really matter? and how much money can i make?

I don’t know the answer to your questions, but please don’t come here.

Right, you’re a obviously a bad fit for UChicago.

You can do a whole lot, but make sure Econ is what you want to study.
You could go to law school, you could work in the financial world, become a consultant, pursue a PhD (although your probably better off majoring in Math for an Econ PhD) - you can also join Teach for America or the Peace Corps for two years.

I think a U of C Econ degree can open a lot of windows. GPA does matter in just about all of the things I mentioned above and competition is always stiff.

As far as how much money you can make, no one will answer that question for you. You can do some digging online and find data on entry level positions for investment banks, consulting firms, etc.
