econ principles I without calc?

I’m currently registered for Economic Principles I but I’ve never taken Calc…can anyone whose taken this class before tell me whether a) I should be able to get by or b)I shouldn’t try or c) something else?

If you are in Stern, you will need it. If you in CAS, you will not use calculus in economics until you take intermediate. Principles I in CAS is just theories and memorization.

Thanks, I would be taking it in CAS. Are you sure I can get by without any calc knowledge? I’m so not a math person.

Yeah you will be fine. the math is relatively light. However, if you want to major in economics and do not want to learn too much math, go policy and not theory.

You’ll be fine for principles I but as commentcomment said, if you don’t want to deal too much with math just go policy track
