Econ/stats at GWU?

I visited GWU, and liked the campus. Although it’s in a city, it felt more like a campus setting than a complete urban setting, and I like that the national mall is right next door.

I want to study economics and statistics, and would definitely consider GWU as a fallback option if these departments were strong. When I graduate, I plan on going to grad school, is GWU respectable to grad schools?

My main question is this: how are the economics and statistics departments at GWU?
