Economics/Management

I’m planning to double major in chemical engineering and economics/management. I’m really not sure how AP credit works for subjects in the humanities…but how do 5s in both micro/macro economics help if I want to pursue economics/management at MIT?

A 5 on any of these humanities AP exams will get you 9 units of general elective credit. They don’t count as placement credit, so you’d still have to take 14.01 and 14.02 at MIT.

Although general elective units may not sound very exciting, they can be really useful for someone who’s planning to double-major – those 18 units for the two AP exams will probably mean you can take one and a half fewer classes at MIT.
