Hi all,
Would any current students be able to share some experiences within these programs and possibly talk about the difference between the two?
Thanks,

Economics is a social science focused on the societal study of economics, economic theory, and econometrics. The major is within the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences and is heavily based on mathematics, statistics, and economic theory.
Business economics is usually a focus of microeconomics and economics that impacts firm-level production, prices, and growth. This is really more tailored towards production-based efficiency, and making firm-level decisions through an analysis of micro and macroeconomic indicators.
As for public policy, it really varies. There is no major in public policy, but we have a degree in political science.
