ECs how many is too many?

I am mostly into theater but i also am interested in dance and … well i have a wide range of interests. Yet I am continually reading that one shuold just bring up the ECs she/he is most passionate about…

anyone? any advice? someone??

anymore thoughts on the resume?/

Wow, impressive

thanks, but my test scores are not so good. i mean pretty… not great!

any more thoughts? revisions? should i leave it?

really? no one has anything more to say? i like the compliments but i want to make sure that it doesn’t look over done! and fake!

I would say list them all. If your grades/course load are good as well, the large list of ECs makes them look all the better.

Right. It is better to have a few ecs that you are passionate about and you have grown in as far as responsibility and leadership vs. simply having a laundry list of things you have done. I am sure your dance/theatre experience can be grouped together (I would suggest asking on the musical theatre forum or asking soozie on the parent’s forum)

there is currently a thread on the parents forum:

An Admissions Dean’s Tips for Getting In" …US News & WR article

Admissions Dean at Franklin & Marshall, Peter van Buskirk answers some commonly asked questions

van Brskirk specifically states:

what do you mean dance/theater can be grouped together? as in just say I did theater 2004-2008 and dance, i appreciate the feedback but that part is just a little confusing

help???

come on! anymore thoughts from other people??

IN what capacity did you participate in theater (as a performer)? this is what I mean by merging all of the theater together

o thanks!!
