<p>For extracurriculars, we don’t just have to put down things school related right? Are we able to put down things such as piano or any other instrument we play?</p>
<p>Of course! Those are things you do that are <em>outside</em> of the <em>curriculum</em> (hence the term). They’ll be looking to see what kinds of things you do outside of school, and although for some students that means “things that look like extensions of what I’m doing in school because it’s exciting to me and I like doing it,” for many others it’ll mean “things I am excited about doing which aren’t things I could do through school anyway”. Musical study is a frequent extracurricular for MIT applicants.</p>
