Why’d you apply ED if you needed aid?

Arjun, I think step 3, mature more before college, is most important.

why i applied ED:

1) I have a crush on Cornell
2) Increases my chances
3) WANTED TO GET IN REEEAAAALLLLLLL BAD
4) Didn’t know abt the financial aid part when i appld

Well, I guess you should have been more careful…

“Arjun, I think step 3, mature more before college, is most important”

r u sure???

Arjun: capital letters in a forum means that YOU ARE YELLING. So do EXCLAMATION POINTS!!! (especially multiple ones) Put them together and YOU ARE SCREAMING AT US!!! It’s kind of rude.

If you have a solid thing to do, with a point to it, you can defer admission. They won’t defer it for someone to ramble around his country.

really emphasizes bad, no need to capitalize it.

you’re 16 arjun? wow i can’t believe that detail slipped past me. good luck with your consulting business, hope it works out.

dubya tee eff?

“dubya tee eff?” what???
all i know is George Dubya Bush has Dubya has his middle name…

dubya tee eff = w.t.f. = what the f***

Arjun: actually it’s “Walker” but he’s “George W. Bush” for short and he pronounces the W as “dub’yuh” instead of “double-you” becuse of his texan accent so people sometimes say “George Dubya Bush” as a joke or if they don’t like him and want to make him sound stupid.

So in this case Dubya=W, tee=T and eff=F. that gives us W, T, F, which is the acronym for the choice english/american phrase of
“What the F***”

Arjun I thinhk your idea is fine. Just contact Fin Aid.

I got this from the Cornell Website:

Deferred Enrollment
Thinking about taking a year off between high school and college? Once you’re accepted to Cornell, it’s possible to delay matriculation for a year or more. Here’s how: Accept our offer of admission by the stated deadline, then send a letter explaining why you’re requesting deferred entrance and when you expect to begin your studies at Cornell. If your deferral is granted (and most are), you’re guaranteed a place in a specified first-year class.

Sparticus, that is an excellent explanation of w t f.

learner, while it’s great to post information copied directly from websites, and even better when you credit the site like you did, in addition it’s very helpful to copy and paste the URL of the site into the post. That way people can read the official version in context in addition to seeing your helpful excerpt in brief!
