ED and Gap Yr

Can ED acceptees take a gap yr???
i want to, but i don’t know whether its accdn to ED terms

I’m not sure but I believe it’s a breach of the ED contract.

im pretty sure they can… its called deferred admission, correct me if im wrong. you can write them a letter saying you want to travel or work or something, and then theyll grant or deny it

Yeah I know about deferring. But I think as far as the wording of the ED agreement, it might be a breach. I think part of the contract involves enrolling in classes the following Fall.

but can they makean exception if its a serious requirnment???

I don’t know, I’d give them a call.

you can’t just decide thats what your going to do, thats breach of contract… but you could write a letter and request, and it will probably get granted

thanks a lot

i’ll ask em i think…as soon as they reopen the 2nd

what are you planning to do?

1) Start a US educational consultancy in B’lore as a business and earn money to fund my education. (at present i don’t think i can afford 45k)

2) work at National Aeronautic Labs in B’loe on a project.

3) Become more mature to face college life

“1) Start a US educational consultancy in B’lore as a business and earn money to fund my education. (at present i don’t think i can afford 45k)”

Ummm don’t you think its going to be a bit hard to find people willing to pay for advice from an 18 year old? Not to mention the amount of paperwork and bribery you’ll need to register your business as a legit one.

hmm…

 1. There exists only 1 consultancy at the moment here and the freaks charge a WHOPPING Rs7000 for each consultancy

2) Guys would prefer to take advice from a guy alreadfy i n Cornell

3) I’m 16…not 18…DOB: 8 October 1989…i know i’m darn young

oh ya, i forgot to mention this to u last time u told me, but asp - i think people would rather pay professionals for a greater fee than an 18 yr old kid. (you’ve gotta be charging waaaaayyyyy less than them)

POINT: NO PROFESSIONALS IN B’LORE!!! GET IT!!!

POINT: I’M 16 NOT 18

POINT: I’M CHARGING Rs1000 FOR APPS, ESSAYS, AND GENERAL COLLEGE HELP, WHILE THAY CHARGE RS7000 FOR EACH

I’M CAN SMELL THE CASH ALREADY

I’m not kiddin guys…i’m dead serious abt this…ive already appld for a registration…

Hey, Metallic, wanna be my Mumbai consultant? i’ll let u in on the goodies…

16’s even worse. And if people can afford to go to the US, they can afford to pay Rs7000 (approx $150, i think)

You seem to be quite a genius, why didn’t you just apply for aid?

ED agreement- NO FINANCIAL AID FOR ED INTERNATIONAL ACCEPTEES
