how do u pronounce it? ma-tee?

Yeah…Matty…although some say Maddy. But definitely not MaTHey…then again, a rose by any other name…blissful sigh

oh yes i knew it was matee =P mwa ha ha ha ha YAY!!! score!

You’re just determined to make an idiot out of me tonight aren’t you, shrek? Well you can take your portable poles and…and…and throw them…far away…in a ditch…with sewage in it…and a pole-eating iguana…

crickets

:( phil nooo!!! noooo!!! no make idiot! :(

<— shrek no happy, hes a big sad green ogre

Hahaha. I definitely wanted to watch Shrek 2 again tonight, but no one else did. Then the lights dimmed, the ground rumbled a bit, a big light shone down upon me, and a big, booming voice inquired, “WWSD?” I was confused for a minute, so I pulled at my hair for a little bit, but then I understood: what would shrek do?

So I picked up the DVD case and chunked it at every last one of 'em, tied them up, and made them watch the first 5 minutes. Yes, they screamed a little. But then they smiled. And it was worth it. You would have been proud.

I need to go to bed, haha.

well, i did call as many of you suggested

she said “around early april, we don’t have an exact date”

but i think that’s bs. considering all other Ivies are doing it on 30th 31st ONLINE. princeton had better do it on like the 29th or 30th by mail…

PW- Did they tell you how much they’ve missed you phone calls?

Cookieson is looking forward to OA as well. He’s an Eagle Scout, so he’ll be helpful to have along.

haha yay for deferees!![]()
i didnt write them a letter tho. and now i’m regretting it. oh well…too late, right? i’ll just keep my fingers crossed. hope all of us get in!!

and princetonwannabe, i totally agree with you.

I’ve done an OA type thing…you can definitely survive not showering for five days. It was actually a really good experience, but you go back home and experience such culture shock. O.o whoa technology!

I definitely ran home and took a loooonng shower though.

yea thinking about going to the bathroom kinda scares me =P

3 days, 19 hours, 6 minutes and 5 seconds until April 1, 2005 (from the countdown at http://www.timeanddate.com)

[to return the thread to the original purpose :)]

freaks out

do we know when pton’s mailing though? I sincerely hope the 31st. They’re going to be the last ones I find out from. Maybe we should get pw to call :p

Waiting. I have been waiting for what… (counts on fingers… Oct., Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, and now all of March…) half a freaking year on Princeton!!!
Geeze!!! If that is not dedication, y’all, I don’t know what is. Congrats to all my fellow deferries on surviving this far.

Gosh, that didn’t help me a bit. I am still waiting.

lol, yes me too. I remember being so upset in december and saying that I had to wait another 3.5 months, but we’re finally here, at the final days!
big hug for all my deferrees.
(is it deferrees or deferries, because deferries remind me of those furby things… >.<)

i think for us deferrals, we should face reality - that it is easier to get in ED than RD and if we didn’t even make the easier cut, the chances of making the latter one is even lower… so don’t set up huge disappointments again by thinking there is still a good chance…

i really really really really really wanted to go to princeton, don’t think by what i said, i don’t care about getting in… it’s just the truth…

I don’t think that cut stuff is true. Princeton hardly rejects anyone ED and they want to admit strong-stat people RD so that it boosts their averages. Plus, they know that you’re very interested and that’s a good thing to keep in mind for a high yield.

I don’t know about your schools, but in my school, Harvard hasn’t admitted deferred people in 9 years, but every year people do get into Princeton and Yale after being deferred.

But PW–good anti-disappointment strategy, anyways. ;)

I’m trying to avert any decision dejection by falling in love with U.Va. (and Vienna), lol. It’s worked so far. Bonne chance!

Now I’m trying to fall in love with both UVa and Georgetown and I have conflicting interests, lol.
