I created this thread because i remember getting deferred by Columbia and feeling as if it was the end of the world. Now i know it isn’t. So for next year’s students just to let them know deferral is not final I’ll start this.
write ur id/school deferred from/where ur going/accepted

imiracle911/CC deferred/accepted at cc

I was deferred from CC and then finally accepted – it was the best feeling ever. I got accepted at a couple other locales, but my heart is beginning to set on the big C.

This seems like a good thread. I got deferred this year.

I just got deferred from CC on Thursday. Rutgers just accepted me a week after I handed in my application, so at least I know that I have somewhere to go just in case all my other applications don’t work out. Still hoping for CC though, or maybe NYU or Barnard. I wonder how many deferees from CC last year got accepted in RD?

I’m wondering the same thing… after reading the admissions thread I feel like everyone without an obvious hook got deferred. Obviously some of them have to get in RD.

imiracle911 & cannednish did you guys do anything to improve your chances of getting in rd after being deferred? (like sending in an extra recommendation/contacting the admissions officer) or did you just wait and see what happened in april?
