ED-II acceptancne and Midyear report

Does NYU require midyear report after Ed-ii admission offer because the Albert application status after the decision shows application incomplete in terms of pending “Final High School Transcript” which is due on July 1,2011.

If one is accepted in ED-II and the 12th grade midyear scores go to AS and Bs from 11th grade all As , does that have an impact on the ED offer.

From all the posts related to this subject so far indicate that after positive ED decision only High School final transcript is required.

would appreciate any input that will help

I sent in the midyear report like a little less than a week before the ED2 decisions came out. I’m sure you can still sent it in because I believe it is due march 1st. Your guidance counselor should be able to download the form from common app and send it in for you if you notify him/her. Be sure to send another copy of your transcripts too!

I am sure B’s wont get you un-accepted. I would worry about C’s and D’s. I got accepted into LSP and I mostly had A’s and B’s (even C’s in math from 10th and 11th grade)

What school did you get accepted to? :)

I am a mom and my daughter has been accepted in the BPE program at Stern in ED-II.

Thank you for your feedback. It’s just that one tends to get anxious as these are stressful times for the entire family . It is one huge roller coaster ride and ride up is always an adrenaline rush and a little not so perfect detail tends to cause undue worry. The first semester for all 12th graders all over the world is hectic , packed with college applications ,deadlines, innumerable essays, school assignments, activities, trips, university visits and on and on and therefore the subject grades tend to suffer. However she has scored an overall A+ Exam grade.

There so many people involved in such meaningful discussion here on CC that I thought people will be able to relate to this and that is the reason for my post.

I am glad that you took time to read and reply, really appreciate. Also my daughter is an international student and it is is heartwarming to see considerate and caring people and so it also helps to know that her journey on her own is going to be amongst such wonderful people who are also on their own journey in life.

anialways,

First of all, congrats on your daughter getting into the toughest school to get into at NYU.
You must be proud and hopefully, all the work put forth is now worth it with the positive consequences and the many great opportunities your daughter will receive at STERN.

NYU follows the Common App so the Mid-Year Report is one of the forms to be turned into NYU. Bs will not result in NYU rescinding an offer of acceptance. Basically, the student has to get Ds and Fs for the alarm to sound off for the school and for them to follow up on the grade situation. It appears to me your daughter’s situation is nowhere near the point where NYU has to do follow up (from info you provided).

So, take a deep breath and relax a little at this point. Do come back and let us know if there are any questions you or your daughter have about adjusting to NYC or NYU.

I am sure there are those of us who would gladly offer whatever info we have that is helpful.

Again, Congrats to your daughter and your family. You should be one proud parent. :)

Thank you very much evolving

For your kind wishes

For offering to extend a helping hand, and most importantly,
3.Taking time to read and be happy for people you have never met in your life

We are indeed very proud and privileged. This was one long journey to this milestone and we are happy and grateful beyond words.

Also appreciate your feedback regarding the midyear report submission.

You take care and God Bless you

anialways,

It is my pleasure for all of the above. Do come back and let us know if we can of assistance to your daughter as she is coming from so far away as an international student.

We hope she will feel welcome in the USA and at NYU Stern!

Is the mid-year report required for ED II students? And if so, do they look at the day it was post-marked? I got into LSP and was wondering since the deadline is tomorrow :/

birene
my understanding is it is required and i don’t think if it does not reach by the deadline is serious if you have already put in the post just have reference no. with details handy to quote in case there is reminder from NYU on the same

both mid-year and final report are required. In terms of the freaking out about the grades:

Only if you get D’s and F’s do they even send you a warning message. About a month ago, MissAmericanPie posted something about how she failed Calculus, but she still didn’t get rescinded. So parents, please calm down. Unless your son or daughter is doing absolutely nothing, there’s no need to panic. Some people who get accepted into NYU already have had C’s on their transcript, so a C is not unusual by any means.
