ED: JHU and what are my chances to Ivy?

PSAT: 216
SAT: taking October Test (practices in blue book- I get 2100-2200 and I expect 2000-2100 on real test)
SAT II: 800 Math 2C, 690 Biology, 710 U.S. History (I will retake biology and U.S. History on November and I will try to get 750+ and JHU accepts Nov. tests for ED)
AP: 5 (US History, Calc BC (AB Subscore too), Euro. History) 4 (Lang. Comp, World History) and 3 (Biology)</p>

<p>Ethnicity: Korean
-I came to the United States when I was in 6th grade.</p>

<p>EC: Newspaper (editor)-this was my true passion. I tried my best to make it a reliable paper that deserves respect from school while other staff members did not contribute much.
Mu Alpha Theta (Founder and Vice President)-went to 10+ competitions as a team (UIL & TI sponsored competitions, etc.)
Korean School Teacher (every Saturday for five hours and I loved doing it)
UT Southwestern University Hospital Volunteers for three years (about 40 hours per year)</p>

<p>I was involved in AcDec, NHS (executive committe), Astronomy Club (Historian), soccer (JV-9th grade), and other minor activities but I do not plan to include them in my application since I was not passionate in doing those activities.</p>

<p>for a texan, ur chances are LOW as LOW CAN BE</p>

<p>it is much easier for an out of stater to get into rice, most in-staters that can get into rice are prob also getting into many other fine schools</p>

<p>I stand by my statement. 2 out of 540 and two SAT IIs over 700 make him a decent candidate at Rice. If his SATs come in over 2100, a very good shot.</p>

<p>JHU has relatively higher acceptance rate but I believe it is reach to me. Does everyone agree?</p>

<p>If ur SATs are good, then I say you have a pretty good chance ED. My rank was 8th and my SATs were 2210, and I got into JHU reg. Do you have a specific major you want to apply for?</p>

<p>I do not have specific major that I wish to apply for, yet I was thinking about applying to School of Arts & Sciences. Do I have to declare my major when I apply?</p>

<p>No Im just saying that if you applied for the BME program it would have been reallllllly highly competetive and the chances would probably lower. But Arts and Sciences are aight for ya then. right good essays and get good recs and u should do fine.</p>
