33 Composite ACT

670 U.S. History </p>

<p>Academics: Unweighted 94, Weighted 97
Took 1 AP Sophomore, 2 APs Junior, 4 APs Senior
Took 3 College Levels courses too
National Honor Society
Foreign Language Honor Society </p>

<p>Extra Curricular:

  • Was the chairwoman of a Benefit Concert (Raised over $70,000 with over 1,000 people in attendance)
  • Founding member of Relay for Life chapter in my school
  • Student Council Member, SADD Member, Foreign Language Club
  • Varsity Tennis/Basketball
  • Worked at Guide Dog Foundation (raised puppy for a year and since have been working in the kennels every other weekend)
  • Chairwoman of Homecoming Floats at my school
  • Won 4th Place at the Regional level for National History Day
  • Work as a volunteer for anti-poverty organization during the summer
  • Worked at a day camp over the summer as well </p>

<p>Essays/Recommendations:

  • 2 outstanding recommendations from 2 teachers (both heads of their respective departments)
  • Very-well written essay about the benefit concert (was edited by multiple teachers, family members and a professional)
  • Why Northwestern essay is also very strong</p>

<p>Without ED, you would have stood a fair shot at NW, with a lot of competition. While you still have competition ED, NW’s ED acc. rate is around 48%. I see you getting into NW. Nice work! </p>
