Hey, I’m happy to chance you … but can you also do the same for me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/538677-please-chance-me-i-d-really-really-appreciate.html</a>

Let’s start by looking at your grades. They seem decent, and you definitely challenged yourself during your high school career. Your SAT CR will hurt alot because … it’s just too low. Get it up by about 70-ish points and you’ll fare better. I was in the same situation as you were (I got a CR 600 on the January SAT), but I was saved by a miraculous English teacher who knew exactly what she was doing … so I ended up doing quite a bit better when retake time came along. I suggest using Princeton Review … they help alot as well. Your extracurriculars are pretty good, but I really really suggest that you delete anything that you’ve done in middle school (Pre-9th grade) … they will distract admission officers and you don’t want that. Plus, they will get a sense that you’re trying to fatten up your app, and that’s not a very good thing. You also have some leadership, and they will like the summer programs. Your volunteer experience is decent as well.

Chances:
-NYU Stern: Reach (SATs below avg)
-UVA Darden: Slight reach
-Carnegie Mellon Tepper: Reach
-Boston College: Match
-Rutgers: Safety
-Penn State: Safety
-U Maryland: In

Good luck!
