ED to Holy Cross

Does College of the Holy Cross have a specific acceptance percentage for ED I and ED II? (is ED I higher than ED II?)

Don’t know about Holy Cross specifically, but typically ED1 acceptance rates are higher because that cycle includes the hooked applicants (ex. recruited athletes, children of wealthy alumni, etc.). For most colleges applying ED v ED2 won’t make a meaningful difference for an unhooked applicant.

Apply ED if and when it makes sense for you.

ETA: Be sure an college appears affordable (run net price calculator) and that your family has no need to compare financial offers from different colleges before submitting any ED application

In the last year, 761 applied ED with 511 accepted. They don’t break out 1 and 2 - but the odds are good. Of course, athletes are in there.

The flipside is their overall acceptance rate was 21%.

Take out the EDs (67%), and the non ED rate is 16.7%.

This is from the 23/24 CDS.

I’m not sure that ED1 or 2 matters - they are looking to assure butts are in seat and both solve that problem for them.

And it seems pretty clear that ED does give a boost.

Best of luck.

Holy Cross definitely has a higher ED acceptance rate, athletes going ED are a big reason for the higher acceptance rate

I don’t know the breakdown of ED vs RD for class of 2028, but the overall acceptance rate for 2028 was 16%.
