Has anybody here gotten rejected or deferred from another school and is applying ED2 to Wesleyan?

I'm seriously contemplating ED II.
- One of those Brown Deferrees that will pepper the liberal arts schools.

Same thing for me, except that I got deferred from Princeton :(
There are so many people applying RD that I don't think I stand a chance.
I really love Wesleyan, and it is my second choice! That's why I'm applying ED2 !!!!

I'm applying ED 2 ! deferred from amherst ED, but Wes was a really close second and I really really want to go there.

good luck to both of you!

I applied as an RD candidate but the admissions office just told me I have about 2 days to decide to switch to ED II. I'm another Brown deferree and I've heard every argument for and against doing Wesleyan ED II (it's my definite second choice). 3.8 UW GPA at tough, tough, tough CT private school, 2170 SAT, but I haven't taken calculus or all three bio/chem/physics (I'm super humanities & arts oriented) so I'm worried I don't have a shot regular decision at Wes. Some super-geniuses are applying to Brown from my school--and the rest of the world--and I don't feel like I stand a chance, especially since they defer the majority of applicants so it isn't that heartening. What made you all decide it was worth applying to Wes ED II...boosted chance for admissions, or disillusionment with your EDI schools?

I just feel like I have a better shot at Wes if I apply EDII. I don't think I stand a chance at Princeton if I apply regular, and Wes is definitely my top choice. I would not have considered Princeton if they didn't have EA. I'd rather feel confident about a school I love rather than freak out about getting into one of the hardest schools in the country.

I applied to Wesleyan though ED 1 and I got deferred to ED 2. Wesleyan has been sending me specific emails to send more documentation to help determine my financial aid package. This did not happen while I applied to ED 1. Does this mean i got in or something?
