Does anyone else carry their health insurance card? Or is that not really necessary?
I carry my health insurance card in my purse. But many insurers have apps and if you download the app you can likely pull up your insurance card on your phone if you need it.
I’m fine carrying a purse for any trips in the car - but also my purse is also a backpack so I can hike it on my back when I’m grocery shopping or whatever and not have the hassle of “carrying” it.
For outside long walks I’m also a hip pack fan. I carry my phone, key, mask and a little random cash, chapstick in it (hey, what if I walked past an ice cream shop on my walk?!)
Insurance cards would be in wallet.
My purse contains everything anyone could need. My car has the rest.
My phone case closes and has interior card slots, so for most days, it’s my phone, and keys.
In normal times, I carry a small cross body with sunglasses, lip balm, pen, and phone/wallet.
My trunk is another story. It is stocked for all eventualities.
I guess from traveling a lot, I learned that front pockets and valuables are best kept there. Cards and keys. But the phone is hard to keep in the front pockets (H does with larger pockets). I either carry my phone, put it in a back pocket, or zip it in my jacket. None are ideal.
Since we randomly hike (stop the car, get out, hike) on trips, a purse is a nuisance and lopsided. A backpack is good but nothing valuable is in it.
I’m surprised no one mentioned the brass and copper keychain tools used to keep your hands cleaner while opening doors and pushing buttons. I may buy a few of the cheaper versions for stocking stuffers.

@HMom16 I always have my health card in my wallet.
@rockymtnhigh2 Agreed, everything goes in my front pockets.
Agree about using front (or sometimes side) pockets.
While the usual concern about putting wallets in back pockets is about pick pocketing thieves, there is also a health concern called “wallet neuritis” or “fat wallet syndrome”:
I just carry a phone in my front pocket (with a license/credit card holder) and keys, plus the obligatory mask. My job doesn’t permit the other kind of carry.
