<p>accepted: I’m a solid candidate, with great math scores and decent verbal scores. I have a hearing loss that I’ve overcome and I wrote a very strong essay on that. My EC’s are pretty good, as I play on two hockey teams and have been the captain of my varsity team since my junior year, as well as running my own website company since 8th grade. Luck…</p>
<p>deferred: Solid candidate, but nothing spectacular. My SAT II’s are kind of weak and none of my stats are amazing. At the same time, I’m atleast an average Cornell applicant, so I doubt I’d be rejected.</p>
<p>rejected: Weak SAT II’s, 3.6uw gpa, they could take my hearing loss the opposite way and say it would make me do poorly (doubtful), weak verbal scores.</p>

<p>mediocretes - what is your GPA? my GPA is low, but i go to a competetive Public HS and taking hard courses. Wanted to get company in this miserable situation.</p>

Rejected: Class rank, don’t like my essays, nothing special in ECs</p>

Deferred: Won’t reject me because of legacy.
Rejected: ECs are average, essays weren’t that great, recs are only slightly above average.</p>
